Thanksgiving Side Dish Roundup-revisited | Indianapolis Food Blogger

We all know Thanksgiving to be a holy grail of holidays. We eat, drink and enjoy family time together. Sometimes in the family in our bloodline, sometimes its the family of our choosing. It’s an exciting time and the food that is set before is a big deal! So this year, I’m updating my Thanksgiving side dish round up. I’ve got a list of sides dishes what will be the best accompanists to your main course- Whether it be turkey, chicken, or a meatless item. This round up as been updated to reflect the goodness of recipes on this site.

Happy eating and enjoy!!

Roasted Clementine & Cherry Tomato Crostini– Snacks before the real meal awaits are needed. Chips are cool, but crostini’s are awesome.

Black Eyed Pea Hummus– Smoky Black Eyed Pea Hummus can be on your appetizer, brunch, snack or dinner table. It is that tasty and versatile.

Lemony Roasted Broccoli–  This easy is an easy to make crowd-pleaser. Guaranteed to keep your crowd coming back for more. Serve it up with your favorites this holiday season.

Roasted Fingerling Potatoes– An alternative to traditional mashed potatoes. Spice them up with Garlic, Cumin, and Paprika, and these potatoes will be a super hit.

Brussels Sprouts- We all need something green on our plates. (this is a rule at my house) Roasted Brussels Sprouts do just that, and they’re really yummy. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Smoky Baked Macaroni & Cheese– Cheese + Noodles = Happiness. How could you not have this on your table? It’ll bridge the gap. End (family) wars. Pretty much make you happy and ethereal.

Buttermilk Cornbread- Not a day goes by that I don’t miss my grandmothers cornbread. This is my version, baked not pan fried.

Sweet Potato Biscuits- For those of you that like your bread a little personal. Make these, have tons of butter and apple preserves on hand.

Sugar Cream Pie– This is an Indiana staple. Sugary goodness

Roasted Carrot Pie– A change up from the standard Pumpkin Pie. Sweet and Buttery, and perfect for Fall.

Mini Peach Tarts– Frozen Peaches allow for this to happen in the middle of November. Make a sweet dessert that folks won’t want to share.

Cranberry Orange Punch– Served spiked or without, its a festive drink for the day.

There ya have it. A nice round up to help you finalize your Thanksgiving festivities. I hope your day is filled with good eats, laughter and love. If your table is filled with those things, you definitely have something to be thankful for.
