Soul Food Friday: You’re Different | Indianapolis Food Blogger 4

Happy Friday!!!! We made it!
Today’s dish of soul food deals with being different. Specifically our journey being created just for us.

We’re all different. Special. Divinely designed. The journey we’re on is just for us, complete with bumps, roadblocks, byways, highways and everything built right in-just for us. God designed it this way. His plan, is greater. Greater than we can ever imagine. Scripture tells us:

“For I know the plans I have for you, “declares The Lord l, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11 NIV

It’s really easy to get discouraged,
sidetracked, and even upset about our journey when we compare it someone else’s. Why do we do that!? Why do we play the comparison game?
If God can take the time to know the numbers of hair on our heads, wouldn’t we think he cares just as much about our life- and it’s journey.? He cares. He created us, how could he not!
Scripture also tells us:

“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10 NIV

You may wonder why So-and-So seems to be moving forward on the fast track and you’re still in the same place… Let her move. And be happy about it. That’s her journey, we only see what we’re shown. We don’t know how many nights she’s fasted, prayed and cried out to God for promotion, for increase or for change.
Her journey is for her. Your journey is for you. Enjoy your journey.

“So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?, What shall we drink? Or What shall we wear? For the pagans run after all these things, and your Heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and all his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”
Matthew 6:31-33 NIV

Stay the course. Know that your journey is purposed. Know that it all matters, and you’re different- for a reason.

Thanks for reading!

Love God. Love People. Eat Good!
