Soul Food Friday: The waiting game | Indianapolis Food Blogger 2

Happy Friday!! We made it! This week’s dish of soul food Friday deals with the waiting game.

Do you ever get feel like you’re waiting on God? You prayed, fasted, stepped out on faith but you don’t “see” what God has said he was going to do?
Well I want to reassure you of this thing:
Whatever God has promised, WILL come to pass.

God’s timing is always perfect. Always.

Maybe you wanted that big promotion could it be that God is just procuring the right people to be able to support you, before he elevates you?
Perhaps you want to be married, could it be that God is waiting on you to release your past hurts and forgive before God sends that your destined match to you?
Sometimes, God is simply waiting on us to act in our faith before he moves on a promise. Acting in our faith could mean we have to make a sacrifice, or simply be obedient to his word-being kind to that person that gets on our nerves, honoring our parents, paying our tithes. These are all biblical practices in which God calls us to be obedient.

There are several scriptures depicting a promise and it being fulfilled, I just want to share a few with you.

Scripture tells us that his word won’t return back void, (Isaiah 55:11) so if HE (not your momma, daddy, pastor, sister) said it, then it will come forth.

And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. (Romans 4:21 KJV)

“We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, so that what you hope for may be fully realized. We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.” (Hebrews 6:11, 12 NIV)

“Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.” (Hebrews 10:23 NIV)

Hold the faith. Never let your hope waiver. Trust in the promise as well as the process. What is for you, IS for you.

Thanks for reading!

Apparently, God has something to say to me. I’ve seen several posts on FB saying this exact same thing. Thank you for posting, Candace.

So glad to be a vessel, Tia. A lot of times when I’m praying about what to post it’s usually something for me!
