Soul Food Friday: Purpose | Indianapolis Food Blogger

Happy Friday!!

This week’s dish of soulfood deals with purpose and naysayers. Both have been on my heart heavily this week.

I’m not sure why, maybe because I see a ton of “naysaying” everyday. On social media outlets and in life in general. I’ve been led to share this:

Everything won’t work for everyone. Everyone won’t like you. Everyone won’t agree with your life plan or even understand your purpose, your call, your dream or your vision.

And that’s quite alright.

God created us on purpose. With purpose. For a purpose.
I know what some of you are thinking, but “they” said. So what. “They” didn’t call you. “They” don’t equip you.
Some of the “theys” are just to help fulfill your purpose. Some of the “theys” are here as distraction. Some of the “theys” don’t even like you because you’re you.

We’ve gotta stop letting what “they” say hold so much weight. Yes, your purpose may sound crazy to them, let it.
Press, anyway. Show love, anyway. Serve, anyway. Pray for them, anyway. The “theys” can’t stop your purpose. They can discourage, try to derail you, but ultimately, what God has destined, no man or woman can stop.
Be you. Created on purpose, with purpose.

“The Lord of hosts has sworn: “As I have planned, so shall it be, and as I have purposed, so shall it stand.”
-Isaiah 14:24 (ESV)
