Soul Food Friday: Give | Indianapolis Food Blogger 2

Happy Friday!!

Today brings another day to do more.
Why more?, you say? Because we’ve been equipped with power. Power to do more. Give more. Love more.

In the 10th chapter of Matthew in the bible, Jesus is preparing his disciples. He’s teaching them to literally be fishers of men.
“And as you go, preach saying ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ “Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers,
cast out demons, freely you received, freely give.” Matthew 10: 7-8

I want to focus “freely you received, freely give.”
The lives we live as believers are to share freely the love of Christ. Christ paid the price of our salvation when he sent himself to Calvary in our place. Freely, share his word. Freely, love our enemies. Freely, minister (in your own way) to the lost.
I’m not saying that everyone will be receptive to your cause, but in the end, when God calls us to judgement, we’ll have to give an account of our work here on Earth as believers. If one soul is saved, that is what matters.
The songwriter Kirk Franklin, said it best: “Will the work that I’ve done, be enough to save someone?”

Thanks for reading!

Love God. Love people. Eat Good!
