A birthday party: Maddie Turns 3! | Indianapolis Food Blogger

Where has the time gone? I mean, really.  I look up *poof* , and I’ve got a 3-year-old little person! How did this happen? Who said this was ok? Clearly I’m not coping well. Life in the Foodlovetog home has been filled with change. One being our little one turning 3. I’m seriously amazed at how fast the time has flown.  Like the past two birthdays, I planned a day full of fun and good eats that my baby love enjoys. She told us she wanted a “monkey party” I wasn’t exactly sure what all that meant, but I tried to do my best to deliver. I literally almost gave up, as I struggled to find enough “monkey” themed items that didn’t center around a baby shower. In the end, Michael’s and Dollar Tree ended up being major winners for me.
Menu wise, I kept it simple, we served pinwheels, fruit, pretzels, fruit snacks, popcorn and chicken salad with croissants. I’m big on finger foods (my kid is too)so I made sure the menu revolved around her taste buds. All in all, the day was fun and full of laughs. Photo recap and vendor listing below.  Another birthday in the books! How do you celebrate birthdays? Tell me in the comments.
