Easter Side Dish & Dessert Round Up | Indianapolis Food Blogger

It’s that time again.

Plans will be made, eggs will be dyed, hams will be baked and friends and family will come together to celebrate a risen Savior. In the Christian faith, the Easter holiday celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ.  Easter Sunday also culminates the end of Lent, which is typically a period of fasting.

In my family, Easter is one of the holidays where we will all gather around the table and enjoy an expertly crafted meal. The star of the show is often a ham, that is baked to perfection. Other meats would in include a beef roast, roasted chicken and maybe even a pork loin. That’s a lotta meat folks!

This post isn’t focused on that. Nope. I want to share in the joy that is the side dish. A good side dish is extra icing on your favorite cake, in my book. It sets the meal up right for a total win. And dessert, do we even need to say anything else? Dessert is the gift you earn for a meal well enjoyed!

The compilation below is a list of side dishes and desserts, I think you’d like to share at your table for your Easter meal. Why only have a show stopping main course when the whole shindig can be tasty? Grab the round up below.

Enjoy!

Balsamic Roasted Brussels Sprouts– A fun way to serve an often hated veggie. Don’t hate. Enjoy and devour.

Braised Cabbage & Johnny Cakes– Vegan friendly and absolute deliciousness. Also- Johnny cakes.

Sweet and Tangy Collards– You know there will be tons of green vegetables on my list. It’s a must.

Pan Seared Asparagus– Because, Spring. And tasty, and super easy.

E’s Favorite Deviled Eggs- Take advantage of the low price on eggs and make up a batch, or three. Either way. They’re a fave.

Pear and Pomegranate Salad– A stellar salad will add flair and fun to your table. Homemade dressings are fun too.

Crisp Watermelon Salad–  It’s a must have. Feta is the real star though.

Smoky Baked Macaroni and Cheese– What good would this list be without something covered in cheese? A twist on a classic.

Roasted Fingerling Potatoes- Potato love. It happens. Roast some up and enjoy an alternative to the classic mashed variety. You’re welcome.

Lemon Bars– Bright, tangy and ready to devour! Lemon Bars are super fun any time, but Easter is totally a time for them. Make them.

Bread Pudding- A sweet treat to please everyone at the table. Don’t say I didn’t warn you. They’re addictive.

Roasted Carrot Pie- The dish you’ve never tried, but will be glad you did. Go for it.

I think this round up will give you a great plan for a successful and tasty Easter meal. Happy Easter, Friends!
