Soul Food Friday: Be still | Indianapolis Food Blogger

Hey Friday! Short week, but man was it busy! Today’s dish of soul food deals with being still.

Be Still

“Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” (Exodus 14:13, 14 NIV)

We all have the person that just tries your last nerve. The evil ones. The mean ones. If only it were like the scripture above… One shot and we never see them again, life doesn’t always work that way, but we’ve been equipped to handle such issues.
Dealing with someone that just tests your patience? Have someone that pushes your buttons ? When dealing with people like this it’s, hard to be still. Hard to keep your mouth kind and Godly. It’s easier to just go HAM and let them have it right? Right. Trust me, I know. I’m the reformed queen of “The Go Off”
Took me a long time to learn the power of the “Be Still” ministry.
What’s entails the “Be Still” ministry? Well for me it’s getting quiet in the presence of God. Being still to listen. God knows little Miss aggravate is on your last nerve. Go in to your secret place and ask God to go before you in dealing with her.
The Lord will fight FOR you.
Let him.
“But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.” (2 Thessalonians 3:3 NIV)
