Soul Food Friday: 5 Verses | Indianapolis Food Blogger

Happy Friday!
Another week has passed us by and we are still here!

Soul Food Friday is back with a little something different.
When I write about 5 things, I typically share 5 tidbits about something I love. Well, I thought I’d share 5 verses that matter to me.
Today’s 5 Things deals with hope. Hope can bridge the gap in some situations. Hope can be a stick of glue that keeps you fighting.
Below are five Bible verses that I believe show how hope matters.
Hope by definition means: A feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen.
Biblically, hope means that we are certain, sure, confident that things will come to pass.

Check out my 5 Verses below:

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” (Romans 15:13)

“Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the LORD his God” ( Psalm 146:5)

“But as for me, I will always have hope; I will praise you more and more.” (Psalm 71:14)

“Anyone who is among the living has hope – even a live dog is better off than a dead lion!” (Ecclesiastes 9:4)

“For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.” (Titus 2:11-13)
